SERO works to protect the rights, safety, and dignity of vulnerable individuals and communities affected by displacement, poverty, and crisis. Our protection activities focus on prevention, awareness, and referral, ensuring that people at risk are supported in a respectful and inclusive manner.
Our Protection and Social Support activities include:
- Raising community awareness on protection risks, rights, and available support services.
- Supporting identification and referral of vulnerable individuals, including women, children, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities, to appropriate protection and social services.
- Promoting community-based protection mechanisms through engagement with community leaders and committees.
- Providing psychosocial support awareness and referrals for individuals affected by stress, violence, or displacement.
- Supporting child protection awareness, including prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Working closely with protection partners and local authorities to ensure coordinated and survivor-centered responses.
