About Us

Social Empowerment & Relief Organization (SERO) is a local, non-profit humanitarian and development organization registered in Somalia. SERO was founded to respond to the growing humanitarian needs of vulnerable communities affected by conflict, displacement, climate shocks, and poverty.

SERO works directly with internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, women, children, youth, and other at-risk groups, with a strong focus on community-based and people-centered approaches.

SERO’s work combines emergency response with early recovery and resilience building, ensuring that immediate humanitarian needs are addressed while also supporting long-term self-reliance and social cohesion.

The organization places strong emphasis on accountability, inclusion, and dignity in all its interventions.

Our Vision

SERO aims for a Somalia where vulnerable communities live with dignity, have access to basic services, and can support themselves and build a better future.
