SERO strengthens the capacity of local communities, community committees, and civil society organizations (CSOs) to support sustainable, locally led humanitarian and development efforts. Our approach focuses on building skills, leadership, and systems that enable communities to take an active role in addressing their own needs.

Our Capacity Building activities include:

• Providing training and mentorship to community committees, local partners, and grassroots organizations.
• Supporting volunteers and community focal points to improve outreach, coordination, and service delivery at community level.
• Strengthening organizational and operational capacities of local CSOs, including basic governance, coordination, and accountability practices.
• Promoting community leadership and participation, with emphasis on women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
• Supporting localization and sustainability by empowering communities and local actors to lead and sustain initiatives.
• Facilitating learning and knowledge sharing among community groups and local partners.
