Food Security and Livelihoods

SERO supports households affected by poverty and displacement through food assistance, livelihood support, and income-generating activities that help families meet their basic needs and become more self-reliant.

Our Food Security and Livelihoods activities include:

  • Supporting emergency food assistance and basic household food support during times of crisis.
  • Promoting income-generating activities for vulnerable households, especially women and youth, to improve household income and self-reliance.
  • Providing livelihood skills training and small business support to help communities rebuild and diversify their sources of income.
  • Supporting cash-based voucher approaches, where appropriate, to enable households to meet their priority food and basic needs with dignity.
  • Engaging communities in identifying livelihood opportunities that are suitable to local contexts and market conditions.
  • Coordinating with partners and local authorities to ensure food security interventions are well targeted and aligned with community needs.
