Recent Activities

SERO has been actively engaged in community outreach, coordination, advocacy, and organizational strengthening to prepare for effective humanitarian programming. Recent activities include:

  • Community consultations and engagement meetings with IDP leaders, women groups, youth representatives, and community committees to understand priority needs and protection concerns.
  • Participation in humanitarian coordination and cluster meetings, including Protection, CCCM, WASH, and Area-Based Approach (ABA) forums, to strengthen coordination, learning, and alignment with humanitarian standards.
  • Stakeholder engagement and advocacy with local authorities, community leaders, and humanitarian actors to raise awareness of community needs and promote localized responses.
  • Volunteer mobilization and orientation, supporting grassroots engagement, community awareness, and preparedness activities.
  • Coordination and learning sessions with local CSOs and partners to improve understanding of sector guidelines, accountability, and inclusion principles.
  • Internal organizational strengthening, including development and review of policies, procedures, and strategic planning frameworks
  • Internal capacity strengthening, including development of organizational policies, procedures, and program frameworks.
